Khoobsurat is a hindi romantic tragic film directed by Taran Adarsh. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles and was released on 17 October 2015. It is nominated for four 2016 Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Song. The film tells the story of a highly educated young woman who comes to live with her aunt in Punjab after her parents die in a plane crash. There she falls in love with an earnest village boy named Javed-Adil Khan while trying to teach him English. With the help of her friend, she attempts to teach him in his village. On her second anniversary of her parents' death, when she is asked by the CEO of the family company to look at some proposals related to investments in Pakistan, she travels there. There she reunites with Javed-Adil and eventually marries him despite the fact that he and his family belong to a lower caste and she is upper caste. They then return to Punjab where their daughter Zoya-Rani/Zoya (Hrithik's real daughter from his marriage to Aishwarya Rai) is born. Later, they return to Pakistan where their son Azaan- Adil Khan is born. The film ends as Azaan runs towards his mother as she comes home from work, walking on a highway. She takes him in her arms and the screen freezes on the loving expression of their faces. This film's tagline is "A story of love, pride and prejudice".The music of the film has been composed by Anu Malik while Shabbir Ahmed has written its lyrics.
